Share

In the past two months, 31 homes have been burglarized and 56 vehicles broken into in a 2-square-mile area around Crest View School, police say. They have scheduled a meeting with residents in the area on the problem.

At the meeting, to be held Thursday at the school, 18052 Lisa Lane, a police officer will show the film “Crime in the Home,” which demonstrates the best locking devices for residential windows and doors. The current burglary problem in the neighborhood near Beach Boulevard and Talbert Avenue will be discussed, and participation in the Neighborhood Watch Program will be encouraged, police said.

Free burglary prevention literature will be available after the meeting. Further information is available by calling Suzie Wajda at (714) 536-5933.
