Share

A Sepulveda woman was killed and five passengers injured Sunday when her car was broadsided on a busy Sepulveda street.

Los Angeles police identified the dead woman as Marilyn Baldado, 42.

The driver of the 1964 Lincoln Continental that struck Baldado’s car fled after the 12:30 p.m. crash, Officer Robert Rowe said. Police were seeking him Sunday for leaving the scene of an accident, Rowe said.

Three passengers in Baldado’s car were taken to Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills, and two others were taken to Northridge Hospital Medical Center, all with non-critical injuries, Rowe said.

Baldado’s car was turning left onto Parthenia Boulevard from Orion Avenue--just east of the San Diego Freeway--when the suspect’s car, traveling west on Parthenia, slammed into it. That car, in turn, careened into a third car, but none of its occupants were injured, Rowe said.
