NBC is planning a sequel to its TV movie “Adam,” about the ordeal of a couple whose son was abducted and murdered. Daniel J. Travanti and JoBeth Williams will reprise their roles as John and Reve Walsh in “Adam: His Song Continues.” The film will chronicle the couple’s efforts to win approval of stronger laws to aid parents whose children are missing.

Two Emmy Award winners--John Ritter (“Three’s Company”) and Betty Thomas (“Hill Street Blues”)--have been cast in a CBS TV movie, “A Prison of Children.” He plays the superintendent of an institution that houses both boys who’ve had run-ins with the law and youngsters who simply can’t be placed elsewhere. Thomas portrays a teacher.

Jane Pauley, normally seen in the morning hours on the “Today” show, will put in an appearance in prime time June 3 as the reporter on an NBC documentary, “Divorce Is Changing America.” The program looks at the adverse effects that divorce is having on the country--in terms of attitudes about marriage, parental responsibility and, especially, the well-being of children.
