American Cytogenetics Lists First Profit in 3 Years
American Cytogenetics reported that it earned $25,093, or 1 cent a share, in the fiscal year ended Jan. 31, a turnaround from a loss of $244,324, or 20 cents a share, the year before.
The North Hollywood firm, which owns three medical testing laboratories, said its sales increased 21% from the previous year, to $3.4 million.
The profit was American Cytogenetics’ first in three years. Company President Hal Lawrence said all of the firm’s laboratories, including two that opened over the last three years, are now profitable.
