Ray Ortiz, San Diego County registrar of voters, will open regional centers for absentee voting with access for the handicapped. The centers will be open on Friday, Monday and Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in each of the five supervisorial districts, and will be available for emergency voting for people unable to vote at their normal polling place.

The centers will be located as follows: Supervisorial District 1 will be in the South Bay Court House, 500 Third Ave., Chula Vista; Supervisorial District 2 will be in the East County Court House, 250 E. Main St., El Cajon; Supervisorial District 3 will be in the San Diego County Registrar of Voters Office, 5201-I Ruffin Road; Supervisorial District 4 will be in the San Diego County Court House, 220 W. Broadway, and Supervisorial District 5 will be in the Vista Court House, 325 S. Melrose Drive, Vista.
