JOHN DEREK HAS HEART ATTACK

SANTA BARBARA —
Actor John Derek suffered a mild heart attack, but was doing fine and resting comfortably Monday, his actress-wife Bo Derek said through a publicist.
Derek, 59, was stricken Sunday night, said Janet O’Neill, a spokeswoman for Cottage Hospital.
“He is in fair condition in the coronary care unit,” O’Neill said. “He had a mild heart attack, but no surgery is contemplated.”
