Former Indianapolis Colt quarterback Art Schlichter has agreed to terms of a free-agent contract with the Buffalo Bills.
Bill Polian, the Bills’ general manager, said that the signing will become official if the league approves. The NFL suspended Schlichter in 1983 for gambling.
No terms were announced.
Schlichter, who starred at Ohio State before being drafted as the fourth player in the 1982 draft by the then-Baltimore Colts, was waived in the fifth week of the 1985 season.
