Santa Ana : Driver Fatally Injured After Crashing Into Tree
A 34-year-old driver was fatally injured early Friday when he made a left turn too fast and crashed, police said.
Carmelo Delvillar of Santa Ana was traveling south on Grand Avenue about 1:30 a.m. at what witnesses described as a high rate of speed, police said. When he tried to turn left onto 4th Street, his car jumped a curb and collided with a large tree, according to Sgt. James Bailey. Delvillar suffered massive internal injuries and was dead on arrival at Western Medical Center in Santa Ana, Bailey said.
