Benefit in Long Beach July 3 for Widow of Ex-Councilman
A number of singers and other performers will appear July 3 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Long Beach in a program to benefit Audrey Wilson, widow of James H. Wilson, the former Long Beach city councilman who died of a heart attack two weeks ago.
Performers will include the Coasters, Las Vegas club singer Angela Teak, singer LaCarol Pratt and local jazz musician Alvin Hayes Jr. Also on the program are comedian Reynaldo Rey, pianist Art Reynolds and singers Alfreda James and Barbara Stewart.
Tickets are on sale for $20 a person or $35 a couple at Ivory’s Deli Market, P&G; Fish Market, Currie’s Santa Fe, Ms. Whiz Cocktail Lounge and the Atrium--all in Long Beach.
