Corona Man Still in Hospital After Crash

RIVERSIDE — An 18-year-old Corona man remained hospitalized here Monday with injuries suffered in a single-car crash Saturday on East Ontario Avenue in Corona.
Edward Gutierrez was taken to Riverside General Hospital, where he was reported in critical condition with head injuries.
The car in which he was riding Saturday skidded sideways over a curb and into a palm tree, police said. Gutierrez may have been thrown from the vehicle, police said.
Also injured in the crash, police said, was Ruben Alvaredo, 36, of Corona, who was treated for a cut and a minor concussion. Police had not confirmed who was driving the car.
