Names in the News - July 1, 1986
The Chicago Cubs acquired right-handed pitcher Ed Lynch from the New York Mets and placed pitcher Rick Sutcliffe on the 15-day disabled list because of inflammation of the right shoulder. The Cubs sent two minor leaguers to the Mets for Lynch--pitcher Dave Lenderman and catcher David Liddell.
