Status of Women Post Filled: Louise Anitia Williams has been appointed to the county Commission on the Status of Women. Williams, a community relations consultant, already serves on seven county committees, including the Hazardous Waste Citizens Advisory Committee of Southern California. She is originally from Portland, Ore., and studied nursing while serving in the U.S. Navy. She was appointed by Supervisor Bruce Nestande.
