Westminster : David Brickner Named to the Superior Court
Westminster Municipal Judge David H. Brickner, who was elected a Superior Court judge in June, has been appointed to that post by Gov. George Deukmejian.
The appointment allows Brickner to assume the post immediately, rather than wait until Jan. 5, when his elected term would have begun.
Brickner, 46, a Municipal Court judge in Westminster for more than three years, succeeds retiring Superior Court Judge Mark A. Soden.
Brickner received his bachelor’s degree in history at Stanford University in 1961 and his doctorate in law at UCLA in 1968.
He served as a deputy district attorney in Orange County until 1972 when he began private practice in Santa Ana. He was appointed to the West Orange County Municipal Court in 1983.
