Clerk Stabbed to Death by Robber in N.Y. Subway

NEW YORK —
A clerk in a subway token booth was stabbed to death Tuesday by a robber who stole $121 and escaped by jumping onto the tracks and running through the tunnel to another station, authorities said. The clerk tried to fight off the assailant and he left behind $2,479 in cash and $34,000 worth of tokens, authorities said.
