5.7 Quake Rattles Aleutians

WASHINGTON —
A moderate earthquake shook a portion of the Aleutian Islands off the Alaskan mainland today, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The quake, measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale, occurred in the Andreanof Islands, the same general area of the Aleutians where a major earthquake occurred two months earlier, a survey spokesman said.
