BAYONNE, N.J. —
Four large tanks containing gasoline and a solvent caught fire Wednesday at an industrial complex on New York Harbor, covering the metropolitan area with smoke as firefighters battled the blaze from land, water and air.
Four persons suffered minor injuries in the fire, which forced the closure of the channel separating Bayonne and Staten Island, N.Y., to marine traffic. The cause of the fire had not been determined.
