Triton Group Ltd., a multi-industry firm with annual sales of $303 million, said Friday that it will move its corporate headquarters from Century City to La Jolla by Sept. 1.

Triton will lease office space in the same building that houses Intermark, a diversified San Diego-based company that in March bought 18% of Triton’s stock and options to purchase an additional 20%.

Twenty-one of Triton’s 23-member corporate headquarters employees have decided not to move to La Jolla, according to corporate secretary Anita Cutchall, who added that the new headquarters will employ only nine people.

Following Intermark’s acquisition earlier this year, John Stiska--on leave from the San Diego law firm of Aylward, Kintz, Stiska, Wassenaar & Shannahan, Intermark’s outside counsel for the past 12 years--was named Triton president.

Among Triton’s holdings are Simplicity Pattern Co., a leading maker of home-sewing patterns, and National Airmotive, a large franchised distributor and overhaul agency for the Allison line of industrial and marine gas turbine engines.
