Share

A Garden Grove woman was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment Friday in connection with the kidnaping and sexual assault last month of her 4-year-old daughter, Stanton police said.

Nancy Lynn Cramer, no age given, was booked into Orange County Jail on $10,000 bail, said Officer Tony Perkins. No one has been arrested in connection with the kidnaping and sexual assault, Sgt. Mike Caballero said.

Cramer told authorities that her daughter had been kidnaped about 11 p.m. June 15 while sleeping alone in the back seat of their unlocked car. Cramer had gone into the Corner Lounge bar to pick up a friend who had called for a ride home, police said. The mother told police she was gone for only a few minutes, but her daughter and her blanket were missing when she returned.

The child was spotted near La Palma and Magnolia avenues about 3 a.m. June 16 in Buena Park by a passer-by, who called police. The child had been sexually assaulted, police said.

Stanton police have asked for the public’s help in finding the kidnaper, described as male, possibly black or Latino, with dark curly hair, driving a large dark, possibly blue, car. The child, wearing a yellow dress, may have been dropped off in the Buena Park industrial area about 3 a.m. June 16, police said.
