‘Second Chance’ to Be Topic of Sermon

The Rev. Michael Wenning will be the guest preacher at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. services Sunday at Geneva Presbyterian Church, 24301 El Toro Road in Laguna Hills. The topic of his sermon will be “A Second Chance.” Child care is available.

“Exaltation,” a 40-minute presentation of Scripture set to an original score, will be performed by the South Coast Community Church Choir and Chorale accompanied by a 30-piece orchestra. The presentation will be at the 8:30 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. services in the church’s auditorium at 5120 Bonita Canyon Drive in Irvine.

Faith Lutheran Church is sponsoring a vacation Bible school for children aged 3 through sixth grade from 9 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. July 14-18 at the church, 8200 Ellis Ave. in Huntington Beach. The theme of the program is “Jesus Teaches Us.” For more information call (714) 962-5571.

Five delegates to the Unitarian Universalist Assn.’s recent 25th General Assembly will present a report on the assembly at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Orange Coast Unitarian Universalist Church, 1259 Victoria St. in Costa Mesa. Child care will be available.

Liberty Baptist Church, 5108 Bonita Canyon Road in Irvine, will celebrate its 10th anniversary Sunday beginning with Sunday School at 10 a.m. and ending with a Communion service at 6 p.m. at the Westin South Coast Plaza hotel in Costa Mesa.
