WHEEERE’S JOHNNY?
Rosenfield is in error when he says “Carson hasn’t been interviewed in seven years.” I recently left the NBC Press Department, where for almost 14 years I handled publicity for “The Tonight Show.” Carson was interviewed on many occasions during the past seven years.
Some of the major interviews that come to mind are several by Jerry Buck of Associated Press; Vernon Scott of UPI, Fred Rothenberg of AP; Mike Drew, Milwaukee Journal; B. J. Bednarski, Chicago Tribune; Kay Gardella, New York Daily News, among others.
