Bradley Page will be retried on a voluntary manslaughter charge in the death of his girlfriend after jurors deadlocked on the issue. Alameda County Dist. Atty. Jack Meehan made the announcement after Superior Court Judge Donald McCullum declared a mistrial. The jury earlier had acquitted Page of murder charges in the slaying of Roberta (Bibi) Lee. The prosecution originally sought to convict Page, 25, of Lafayette, of second-degree murder, a deliberate homicide. In the new trial, Page faces only the charge of voluntary manslaughter, which is a homicide without deliberation.
