Panel OKs U.S. Debt Limit of $2.323 Trillion

WASHINGTON —
With the government’s credit all but gone, the Senate Finance Committee approved a Reagan Administration request Tuesday to raise borrowing authority by $244 billion--pushing the national debt limit to $2.323 trillion.
