Pasadena : Mayor Gives Pay to Library
Mayor John Crowley has donated his yearly city salary to the Pasadena Public Library Foundation.
Crowley, who makes $50 a week as mayor and councilman, donated his wages during the ribbon-cutting ceremonies for the newly renovated Pasadena Central Library, which underwent a $2-million face-lift that added a new entrance and access for handicapped persons.
Crowley’s donation will be used for future restoration work planned for the 60-year-old building.
