The repair bill for this year’s storms and floods in 38 Northern California counties is at $122 million and climbing, state and federal officials said. Spokesman Verne Paule of the federal Emergency Management Administration said repair costs are expected to mount dramatically when tabulations are completed. “This (final cost) won’t be known for months,” he said. “There is still work being done. There are still surveys being made.” Spokeswoman Nancy Hardaker of the state Office of Emergency Services said about $108 million of the $122-million total has been spent for repairs in the private sector.
