Photographs of debris found on the ocean floor off Point Reyes north of San Francisco will be examined by Coast Guard investigators to determine whether the objects might be wreckage from the May 26 sinking of the fishing trawler Jack Jr. The suspected wreckage, located 300 feet below the surface of the ocean, was detected last week. Heavy seas prevented the Coast Guard from photographing the debris until Saturday. Authorities said a tanker was suspected of ramming the trawler in heavy fog. A probe into the suspected crash was recessed after several weeks of testimony, but could be resumed if the photographed objects turn out to be wreckage from the trawler. Three of the ship’s crewmen were killed when the trawler went down.
