Pete Pfitzinger won his second San Francisco Marathon title, completing the course in 2 hours 13.29 minutes to finish almost two minutes ahead of runner-up Gidamis Shahanga of Tanzania. Maria Trujillo of Mexico won the women’s race in 2:37.58.
