Two Corona youths died when their car hit a truck head-on during a police chase in Norco Saturday night, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. A deputy was in pursuit of the two--identified as Michael K. Moran, 15, and Mark Canfield, 16--after an alleged speeding violation. Their compact, foreign car swerved into oncoming traffic and slammed into a pickup truck on Hamner Avenue, south of 4th Street. Both boys died later at local hospitals from heart injuries. The driver of the pick-up truck suffered minor injuries, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
