Colombian ‘Godfathers’ in State

Colombian cocaine traffickers and motorcycle gangs have overtaken traditional organized crime groups to dominate California’s booming narcotics business, Atty. Gen. John Van de Kamp said today.
Van de Kamp, in releasing his annual report on organized crime in the state, said, “Today’s most murderous hit men execute their contracts from California’s prisons, not Chicago’s speak-easies, and the new ‘godfathers’ are more likely to come from Colombia than Calabria (Italy).”
