Contradictions Can Lead to a Lot of Confusion

What’s a young athlete to do? On one hand, they are deluged with newspaper accounts of the tragic drug-related deaths of Len Bias and Don Rogers, while on the other hand, the same paper makes light of the fact that William Perry can consume a case of beer in an hour (Morning Briefing, July 20). Contradictions such as this must be very confusing indeed to the young athletes of today.
