Two men from Anderson, Calif., died Thursday when the homemade airplane they were flying to a convention of experimental aircraft enthusiasts crashed near Rawlins, Wyo. Carbon County Sheriff C. W. Ogburn said James Fleury, 48, and his son Adam, 23, died instantly when their light plane crashed into a ridge. Ogburn identified the aircraft as a home-built T-18 single-engine plane and said it was one of four flying to the Experimental Aircraft Assn.’s annual exposition in Oshkosh, Wis. The crash occurred after another of the planes developed engine problems and was forced to land at the Rawlins Airport, Ogburn said.
