A 22-year-old Thousand Oaks man was arrested early Sunday morning after he assaulted two sheriff’s deputies who responded to reports of screaming at an apartment building, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department said.

Robin Lynn Lee was being held in lieu of $10,000 bail Sunday in Ventura County Jail on charges of assaulting a police officer and assault with a deadly weapon--a chair he swung against a deputy, Lt. George Conahey said.

Deputies Jerry Weaver and Ron Green responded to complaints of noise at an apartment in the 1000 block of Laurie Lane at 1:15 a.m. and saw Lee run out of the apartment as they arrived, Conahey said.

When Lee was ordered to stop, he threw a punch at Weaver, which was partially blocked, Conahey said. As they struggled, Weaver pushed Lee through a window and back into the apartment, where Lee grabbed a chair and struck Deputy Green on the officer’s right side, Conahey said.

Lee was then subdued and taken into custody, he said.

All three were treated briefly for minor cuts and bruises at Los Robles Regional Medical Center in Thousand Oaks.
