A chain of 70 Southland movie theaters has agreed to screen public service films urging parents to pay overdue child support. The 30-second announcements will be shown at Metropolitan Theaters in Los Angeles, Santa Barbara and Riverside counties beginning Aug. 15. The effort is spearheaded by former Los Angeles County Dist. Atty. Robert H. Philibosian and lawyer Gloria Allred, recipient last month of the President’s Volunteer Action Award for her role in launching the Kids Deserve Support movement.
