MERCURY, Nev. —
More than 80 anti-nuclear protesters were arrested this morning in a show of civil disobedience at the sun-baked Nevada Test Site.
About 250 protesters braved 105-degree heat to sing and pray in a four-hour demonstration marking the 41st anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. More than 70 people stepped across a white line near the entrance to the test site while another 11 were arrested for blocking the road leading into the site.
