Minna Wallis, 92, the talent agent generally credited with discovering Clark Gable, died at her home in Rancho Mirage on Sunday, it was announced Wednesday.

A sister of veteran film producer Hal B. Wallis, whose office announced her death, Miss Wallis began as a secretary to Jack L. Warner. She recommended that Warner hire her brother to manage the old Garrick Theater at 8th Street and Broadway in downtown Los Angeles which the Warner Brothers owned, thus launching his career in the film industry.

Miss Wallis progressed from secretary to agent, joining Famous Artists before branching out on her own in 1950.
