Long before Benny Goodman presented Teddy Wilson to the public, orchestra leader Leo Reisman featured jazz trumpeter Bubber Miley with his band at New York’s Central Park Casino--that was in 1930.

According to Feather, Miley did play with Reisman’s band but was concealed by a curtain.
