A man leaped to his death onto the fast lane of the Hollywood Freeway from the Los Angeles Street overpass, landing on the hood of a compact pickup truck. Police said the man, whom they identified as Harry Herbert Foreman, 39, jumped about 4:40 p.m. The driver of the pickup truck was not hurt. Detective Richard Wittner said Foreman had of late been living in a downtown hotel and had been treated at an East Coast hospital for emotional disturbances.
