The bodies of two bow-and-arrow hunters from Los Angeles have been found in rugged foothills northwest of Coalinga. A Fresno County sheriff’s search team located the bodies of Tom Wilson, 29, and David Reller, 32, after almost a week of searching. The men had gone deer hunting. “It appears that one or both of them might have been injured or exhausted and were trying to find their way out,” said Sgt. John Retherford. The bodies were discovered about 75 yards apart in a canyon. Their bows and packs containing partly filled water bottles were found about 400 yards from one body. “We’ll have to wait for the autopsies before we know the exact cause of death,” Retherford said. “But I don’t think we’ll ever know exactly what happened to them.”
