County to Repave Federal Avenue in September

Federal Avenue from Wilshire Boulevard to south of Texas Avenue will be repaved in September, according to Supervisor Ed Edelman.
The $62,000 project, will include resurfacing, reconstruction of the alley intersection, manhole work, excavation and incidental work.
“Under an agreement with the city of Los Angeles, the county will administer the project and the city will finance its portion,” Edelman said. “In addition, federal funds are being used to cover a part of the cost.”
There will be no road closures or special traffic restrictions and no work will be allowed before 8 a.m. or after 4 p.m. The work is expected to take about 15 working days and should be completed in October.
