American Pacesetter said it posted a net income of $1.1 million for the second quarter, nearly 2 1/2 times the $314,000 it earned during the comparable 1985 period. The Newport Beach construction and financial services company said revenue for the quarter was $27 million, 35.4% higher than the $19.9 million posted a year ago. For the first half of the year, net income rose to $787,000 from $74,000. Revenue rose to $43.1 million from $38.8 million.
