About 400 foster parents and children attended the 22nd annual Sunshine Day Foster Family Picnic at Griffith Park. Wendy Williams of the Los Angeles Junior Chamber of Commerce, which sponsored the picnic along with the county Department of Children’s Services, said the annual event is intended “to honor all the foster families from greater Los Angeles for opening their hearts and homes to children in need.”
