Local News in Brief : Deputy City Manager of Simi Valley Resigns
Robert Hunt, a deputy city manager in Simi Valley, has resigned to become city manager of Lake Havasu, Ariz.
Hunt, 37, who was raised in Simi Valley, began working for the city in 1977 as an administrative aide in the Department of Human Resources. He also was an assistant in the Police Department before going to work for City Manager Lin Koester in 1981.
Since January, Hunt has been deputy manager for industrial development, with responsibility for coordinating the effort to attract new business. His resignation from the $51,800-a-year post is effective Sept. 5.
