An explosion in a commercial building near the residence of Prince Charles and Princess Diana and London’s diplomatic row injured about 20 people, Scotland Yard said today.

Police said four people were rescued from the debris of a ground-floor shop in the four-story building on Kensington High Street, a busy shopping district bordering elegant embassies and the Kensington Palace. “It is not looking suspicious, probably a gas explosion,” a Scotland Yard spokesman said.
