Driven by “continued growth and expansion,” San Diego-based Price Co. has restructured its management with the creation of a chief operating officer position and the promotion of four vice presidents.

No outsiders were brought in during what Vice President Mitchell Lynn described as an internal “restructuring of management responsibilities.”

Executive Vice President Richard M. Libenson, one of the Price Co.’s founders, was promoted to chief operating officer. Libenson will be responsible for day-to-day operations for the company that has 24 discount retail warehouses around the country, Lynn said.
