Man Accused of Killing 4 in Dispute Over Rent

MASSAPEQUA, N.Y. —
Police charged a man with four counts of murder and one count of arson Sunday in the deaths of four people trapped inside a Long Island boarding house where the suspect once lived.
Five other residents of the home were injured, one critically, in the blaze Saturday, police said. Richard Kirkwood, 29, was accused of setting fire to the three-story rooming house after an argument with the home’s owner over back rent, police said.
