13-Year-Old Turns In Parents

Share

Who says “1984” has not arrived? I refer to your article (Aug. 14), “Girl, 13, Turns In Parents--and $2,800 in Cocaine.”

Here a daughter turned a mother and father in to the narcs after hearing a narcotics lecture at her church. Obviously we need more of this “education” to eradicate narcotics use and indeed all crime. Think of the PURE world we would have if all children turned in their parents, lovers, friends and other relatives.

Children could be trained to go through the house whenever the parents were away and try to discover law violations. They could be trained by the Internal Revenue Service to check income tax returns too.

Perhaps in those states where various sexual deviations are still illegal children could be trained to watch through the keyhole of the parents’ bedroom and photograph any illicit activities for the vice squad. Even minor crimes would abate. If one parent parked a car illegally, the other or one of the children could call the police. Finally the crime problem would be solved.
