Monrovia : Trash Pickup Fee Increased
The City Council has voted to allow Best Disposal Co. a 25.3% rate increase for curbside collection of residential trash. The monthly rate for households will increase from $4.75 to $5.95.
Best had requested an increase of 28.4%, and an independent study had recommended an increase of 21.7%.
The new rate is near the average being paid other haulers in the San Gabriel Valley and reflects increases in such expenses as dump fees and insurance for the company.
