Sorry to let you down, Don, but Hilburn had just about the same things to say about Yoko Ono’s voice.

See, Bob has a tendency--especially when he’s given access to performers who don’t often give interviews--to gush. It’s embarrassing, and it makes his reviews suspect and ultimately worthless, but somehow this passes for journalism in a minor-league music town like Los Angeles. Or at least it does at The Times.

Anyway, we think that this latest statement that you’re making is a valid one, a bold new direction which we believe will have a major impact not only on the entertainment industry, but on us as a people.

We’re talking about the new hair style, of course. The record kind of seems like a scam.
