Santa Fe Springs : Heritage Park Plans OKd
Final plans for the proposed Heritage Park, the site of a large adobe residence and a ranch that once had a botanical garden, were approved last week by the City Council, acting as the Redevelopment Agency.
The agency also authorized staff to advertise bids for construction of the $4.3-million project, which includes the restoration of a carriage barn and rehabilitation of the 1815 adobe residence. Bids for additional work--such as reconstruction of two farm buildings and construction of a caretaker’s cottage--were delayed pending the outcome of construction bids. That work is estimated to cost $635,717, which would be in addition to the budgeted project cost.
