The architectural firm of McClellan Cruz Gaylord & Associates is offering two $500 scholarships to Pasadena’s Art Center College of Design to high school students who can draw, paint or photograph one of three Pasadena landmarks.

The landmarks are the R. H. Pinney house, 180 S. Euclid Ave.; the Belle R. Dunn home at 150 N. Oakland Ave., in the Fuller Seminary, and the Braley Building at 35 S. Raymond Ave. All three structures were designed by C.W. Buchanan, the late architect, whose great-grandson, Frederick Gaylord, is now president of McClellan Cruz Gaylord.

The deadline for entries is Oct. 15. The contest is open to all high school juniors and seniors in Los Angeles and Orange counties. More information can be obtained by writing to the architectural firm at 199 S. Los Robles Ave., Suite 400, Pasadena 91101.
