Cruise Bonus

If you’re going to France this year, you can do a two-night, one-day cruise/excursion between Nice and the island of Corsica for only $75. Sail from Nice, awaken with Corsica in sight. Passengers go ashore for a mini-bus tour of the island, north to south, through mountain villages, ancient seaports. New England

A new booklet titled “Great Country Inns of New England” is offered free to readers sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope to McKenzie Communications, 56 S. Whitney St., Amherst, Mass. 01002. These inns were given a three-star rating by Mobil in both dining/lodging categories. Only 19 inns in New England won this particular rating. The booklet describes each inn (photographs included). One named The Elms (Ridgefield, Conn.) dates from 1799, features period antiques, four-poster/brass beds, private baths. If you’re planning a fall/winter trip to New England, this could be a useful guide.

Hawaiian Wedding

The Maui Prince Hotel at Makena Resort is doing wedding packages. Ceremonies cost $400 and up. Simple to elaborate. They’ll provide the priest, minister, rabbi, leis, photographer, champagne. Ceremonies with or without music (guitars, harps, flutes, violins). Formal attire also available (although why in heaven’s name would anyone want to wear a tux in Hawaii?). Whether you take a cab or a limousine, it’s expensive getting to LAX. For travelers wishing to go in style, Regal Limousine Service will deliver you from downtown to the airport for $35/$40.
